the story behind "pnk thoughts for men"

It can be called the summer drink of recent years: rosé. Yet it is sometimes still seen as something for women, undeservedly. We can hope that men can now get over the whole "pink for girls" idea. If not, you are really missing out on something special this summer, namely this new exclusive dry Rosé from LiquidZilla!!
Compared to our other wines, we have not chosen this time to provide this wine with a theme. We have named this rosé “PNK Thoughts For Men”. A Rosé for the men to try and enjoy. And if the men have drunk this rosé then they have to behave ... Of course this rosé is not only for the men and the women can simply enjoy this excellent quality rosé!
This is a rosé that can be drunk all year round, not just in the summer.

For this rosé, we collaborated again with winemaker Ruud Janssen to make a rosé from the Pinot Noir grape. On the palate, “PNK Thoughts For Men” has become a fresh and fruity dry rosé with some citrus aftertaste.
The Rosé is complex and firm enough to serve with food, but is also delicious as an aperitif wine. With this rosé you can recognize the aromas of red fruit such as wild strawberries and red cherry. The wine has a beautiful pink color.
A rosé wine is associated by many as a light wine, delicious for the summer and warm weather, but our rosé is also delicious with fish dishes and white meat (for example veal, oyster and pork fillet) and game (for example pigeon and pheasant).

For the labels on the bottle, we worked with a designer from America named Seth Rexilius from the Wonderwild company. He did a great job of designing a label for our front and back that would represent our ideas!

Lady In RED

the taste of 2019

Wine: Red Wine
Grape Variety: Regent (95%) Cabernet Cortis (5%)
Origin: South Limburg, Netherlands
Winemaker: Ruud Janssen
Release Date: 26 october 2020
Orginal Label Art By: MW Visuals
Availability: 450 Cases Produced
Alcohol Percentage: 12,5%
Contains Sulfites:
Yes
Content: 75cl

The Details
The regent grape is a blue grape that gives dark wine with aromas of forest fruits. Depending on the method of vinification, the Regent grape can be made into a rosé wine, a Burgundy-like wine into a very dark, full-tannin-rich red wine. The description of this wine varies from red Rhone wines to wine with a Bordeaux character. Aging on wood can be used in these cases.

Origin
Diana Hamburg (=Silvaner x Müller-Thurgau) x Chambourcin.
The Regent was bred in 1967 at the German Institute for Grape Cultivation in Geilweilerhof and was selected for its resistance to fungal diseases.

Trusses
Medium sized, somewhat loose trusses. The grapes are blue, round and medium in size. The juice has a light color. The Regent produces even average yields. For a full-bodied wine, it is important that the trusses have a high sugar content and ripen well, so that the acid content drops sufficiently.

THE STORY BEHIND "LADY IN RED"

International Women's Day is celebrated all over the world on March 8. Traditionally, this day focuses on women's rights (including in the field of labor and the right to vote). And attention is drawn to situations in which women are still disadvantaged. The struggle of women that has lasted for years still continues. Women deserve an equal position but still have to fight for it.
Women are still underpaid, care is on their shoulders and women still have to deal with old gender roles. In addition, domestic violence, abortion and the taboo on it, (street) intimidation, women's quotas are topics that often come up. Decisions are also often made by a majority of men at administrative and political level.
On International Women's Day we will consider many of the above topics and we hope that every year it gets a little better for women. International Women's Day is the result of more than a century of women's emancipation.

This red wine is called “Lady In Red” and with this wine LiquidZilla tries to draw attention to the rights of women. We consider subjects such as self-determination, individual rights and freedom to be important. Women's freedom should be non-negotiable but self-evident.
For this wine we have once again worked with wine"maker Ruud Janssen to make a red wine from the Regent grape and Cabernet Cortis. The “Lady In Red” has become a deep red, powerful yet supple wine.
The scent reflects earthy notes such as forest floor and firmly cooked red fruits and tastes like blackberries and fruit coulise, supported by an average body and fine acidity.
The wine has a pleasant spiciness with firm black fruit. The “Lady In Red” has matured for 12 months in oak barrels.

Due to the special theme of this wine, we also wanted to be unique in our labels for the bottle. That is why we have collaborated again with Max Wiekens of MW Visuals. This young company, where Max Wiekens is the brain behind, has great ideas that can be seen on our labels.
For “Lady In Red” MW Visuals did a great job designing a label for the front and back that would represent the theme of the wine with the slogan “FIX THE SYSTEM NOT THE WOMEN”.

the story behind "victory white"

The Battle of the Ardennes took place in Belgium from December 16, 1944 to January 25, 1945. Also known by many as “The Battle of the Bulge”.
The Battle of the Bulge was a plan by Adolf Hitler personally to cut off the most northerly Allied troops on the western front and then destroy them. Ever since the summer months of 1944, when Germany suffered catastrophic defeats in Normandy and Belarus, he had been thinking about launching one more massive, successful offensive. He considered a military victory necessary to keep the hope of final victory alive and to force the Allies, who had been demanding an unconditional surrender since early 1943, to negotiate an end to the war.

Boxing Day 1944 was the turning point in the Battle of the Ardennes. The tanks of the American 1e army met the Germans at the town of Dinant. More to the east, the Americans of the 3rd Army had succeeded in establishing a connection with the Americans in Bastogne. On December 27 the German tanks withdrew further from Dinant. However, many tanks had to be abandoned because there was no more gasoline. The first phase of the battle was over. The Germans had been stopped and the second phase could begin; pushing back the Germans from Belgium and Luxembourg

This wine is called “Victory White” and is a tribute to the battle that the Allies fought in the Belgian Ardennes. The name "Victory" because it was a great victory in one of the greatest battles in history and the word "White" because it is a white wine.
For this wine we collaborated with winegrower Ruud Janssen to make a dry white wine from the Johanniter grape that has a clear and lively structure with strong acids and a slight bitter after. It is a dry, fruity and smooth wine for the terrace or as an aperitif.
The color is light yellow / light yellow gold on the tongue. Beautifully sparkling, clear and pure. Red and green apple in the nose with a lot of minerality. Fresh with nice round, but present acids. Fairly good on the mid-palate and a soft, round, slightly acidic finish.

For the labels we collaborated with Max Wiekens from MW Visuals. He did a great job of designing a label for the front and back that would represent the theme of the wine with the slogan “CHERISH OUR FREEDOM”.
